Silly Wonkette, you can’t delete stuff from the internet

This is Wonkette’s disgusting “Happy Birthday” article about Trig Palin as it appeared before they realized how deeply they had stepped in it and started to scrub the comments and the author’s name. (Click the image to view full size)

Google throws quality out the window to demean Sarah Palin

31 Jan

As any good webmaster knows, Google has stringent quality standards intended to keep low quality results out of top positions in search results. Although some crappy results slip through on occasion, those coveted top spots are typically occupied by highly relevant, high quality results from good websites. A combination of algorithms and human beings help ensure that you find what you’re looking for.

Unless you’re looking for a nice, current photo of Sarah Palin.

This is what I found when I used Google’s image search to look for “Sarah Palin”. The disgusting array of results from obscure websites could only have been put together by design. Spoof images, including one that is, shall we say, not family friendly, occupy top spots. I was hard-pressed to find a selection of photos that capture the highly photogenic public figure in a flattering manner. The photos that weren’t spoofs, simply not Sarah, or unflattering facial expressions were grossly outdated. Considering that Google is run by leftists who are completely in bed with the Obama administration, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. But somehow it still does.

Not what I was looking for...

Somehow Google managed to find “Barack Obama” photos without a problem.

In the oft-spoken words of Barack Obama, “We can do better.” Much.

Conspiracy Debunked: Giffords’ YouTube page hacked to subscribe to Loughner’s YouTube page

11 Jan

The latest hot conspiracy to circulate the internet is that Gabrielle Gifford’s official YouTube page subscribed to Jared Loughner’s page.

Yes and no.

A screencap from Bing’s cache sometime on 1/10/11 shows a link to the “classitup10″ page listed under “Subscribed” in the lower left. Some people who visited the page saw it while it was still live. That link was later removed and no longer appears on the page.

However, a screencap of a Google cached version from very early in the day (actually late the day before if you’re in America – 3:53 a.m. GMT), shows no such link:

Another Bing cache from 12/26/10 shows no link to Loughner’s page:

The link to Jared Loughner’s YouTube page did not exist prior to 1/10/11. Gabrielle Gifford’s official YouTube channel was shamefully hacked by someone trying to drum up a conspiracy theory.
