As any good webmaster knows, Google has stringent quality standards intended to keep low quality results out of top positions in search results. Although some crappy results slip through on occasion, those coveted top spots are typically occupied by highly relevant, high quality results from good websites. A combination of algorithms and human beings help ensure that you find what you’re looking for.
Unless you’re looking for a nice, current photo of Sarah Palin.
This is what I found when I used Google’s image search to look for “Sarah Palin”. The disgusting array of results from obscure websites could only have been put together by design. Spoof images, including one that is, shall we say, not family friendly, occupy top spots. I was hard-pressed to find a selection of photos that capture the highly photogenic public figure in a flattering manner. The photos that weren’t spoofs, simply not Sarah, or unflattering facial expressions were grossly outdated. Considering that Google is run by leftists who are completely in bed with the Obama administration, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. But somehow it still does.

Somehow Google managed to find “Barack Obama” photos without a problem.

In the oft-spoken words of Barack Obama, “We can do better.” Much.
